Maintenance Supervisor - Day Shift
 
MUST HAVE ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE
Key Functions:
 
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of one's self and all the employees in the manufacturing facility. Identify areas where safety issues could arise and take measures to proactively address the concerns. 
  • Actively participate on the plant's Safety Committee.
  • Actively supervises 8-10 employees in the everyday coordination, execution and planning of maintenance efforts for a 24/7 facility.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with the plant management, supervisory staff and hourly employees.
  • Continually communicate in a positive manner. 
  • Conducts oneself in a manner that is reflective of the Company's policies on harassment, discrimination, etc.
  • Actively pursues measures to reduce downtime on production equipment.
  • Identifies opportunities and takes measures to reduce waste.
  • Coordinates initiatives to reduce operating costs.
  • Completes tasks in a timely and organized fashion.
  • Instill a TEAM concept in the work place Take measures to eliminate manufacturing issues. Plans, schedules and monitors the timely completion of maintenance work orders.
  • Attend workshops to enhance industry knowledge and the capabilities of the plant.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Five or more years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with proven skills in the areas of electrical, PLC, and computer-controlled equipment.
  • Plastic Extrusion experience preferred.
  • Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
  • Demonstrated project management, planning, and organizational skills. Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, communication skills. Working knowledge and ability to utilize personal computers and software. BS/BA in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or similar technical discipline desired.
