Location:  Manassas, VA
Role Purpose: 
To undertake moderately complex projects ensuring the security and compliance of our systems, networks , physical infrastructure, people and information. To contribute to the definition of security
procedures/controls/policies, within established guidelines; ensuring they are effective and appropriate for SWIFT and its customers, and that they are consistent with the company objectives, company reputation and regulatory requirements. 
Scope of Work:   
01 . Design, implement and manage projects for data, systems and network security infrastructure. May develop and implement security policies and procedures.
02 . Analyze security baseline non-compliance reports/cases and evaluate and recommend within generally defined practices and policies, methods and techniques for resolution, escalating when appropriate.
03 . Monitor the overall security systems including policies, controls, methods and procedures, that safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files and data elements. Notify management about security violations and propose solutions to possible security threats 04 . Investigate less complex security cases and propose response procedures. Work with more senior Security Management Specialists to resolve/close security cases.
05 . May conduct work on moderately complex projects including writing security requirements, project tracking, providing security consultancy, evaluating risk scenarios, response procedures and proposing solutions.
06 . Recognize and identify potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.
07 . Maintain knowledge of changing technologies in own area of responsibility, and provide recommendations for adaptation of technologies or policies.
08 . Identify and analyze tools to automate day to day activities such as system checks, log checks and baseline compliance.
09 . May monitor and establish security management access and compliance control of systems and networks.
10 . Conduct security testing and security checking of systems and networks ensuring appropriate cyber defense. 
Additional Information: 
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP and SANS are a plus, but are not required.
  • The position requires solid understanding of security technologies, security engineering and operations.  It also requires understanding of how security tools integrate.
  • Ability to rapidly assess security of new technologies after a short learning curve is required.
  • Ability to constructively engage with other senior and architect level colleagues, elicit and document technical information is essential.
  • Good writing, communication, collaboration and organizational skills are essential.

Jr = 1-5 yrs / Spec=5-10yrs / Exp= >10 + yrs
Solid Experience in Security engineering, architecture, and integration in complex computing environments Specialist
 Knowledge of security standards, models, frameworks Specialist
Strong oral and written communication skills, able to author o wide range of techical documents with minimal supervision Specialist
Strong Interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills Specialist
Good knowledge of IP Networking & Network Security Specialist
Very good understanding Security Tools and Operations in Cyber Security Operations Centers Specialist
Very good knowledge in securing Unix systems.  Specialist
